Stephen Emond

In love with his best friend and helpless to do anything about his family falling apart, he wasn’t doing so great at life in the first place. Then he and his Mom move to a different town, and he has to take on a whole new life. So he decides he can be whoever he wants to be, and decides to be the “Mr. Happy Hey-Everythings-Cool Guy.” Ever tried something like this? A lot of us can relate to keeping emotions inside and just not wanting to deal with them. But that never works out well for us. Luckily it’s far more amusing and engaging to watch Happyface go through this, accompanied with doodles and illustrations for this journal-entry-style novel.
